What's Italy known for??

Is located on the Italian Peninsula in Southern Europe and on the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. Italy has several volcanoes like Etna which is the largest active volcano in Europe. The climate in Italy is very variable it depends of the location.

The latest population estimate is 59,206,382, an increase of 49,084 persons from a month earlier. Italy has the fourth largest population in the European Union (after Germany, France).

Italy is a destination for immigrants from all over the world.

Italy is very known because a famous painted called Gioconda, it was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1503 up 1506, it has a lot of mysteries like its face, specially its smile, also its dark eyes and its relax hands.

The Gioconda was carried to France by Leonardo in 1516, and then the France’s king bought the paint, then the paint was showed in Versailles palace, then the paint was in Napoleon’s room.

This famous paint had been showed in too many countries around the world, but always stay in Louvre museum.
